Zusammenfassung
Es soll gezeigt werden, in welcher gesellschaftlichen Konstellation das Konzept der Einstellung entstanden ist. Als ›Subjektives in seinen sozialen Bezügen‹ sollte es zwischen subjektloser Soziologie und a-sozialer Psychologie vermitteln. Unter dem Primat der Messbarkeit entwickelte sich Geschichte der Einstellungspsychologie zum Missverständnis einer Kategorie (im kritischpsychologischen Sinne) als Variable. Bei der Rekonstruktion der verschiedenen Ansätze der Operationalisierung von Einstellung steht im Vordergrund, welche Leistungen oder Zumutungen den Befragten jeweils abverlangt werden. In der sich dabei zeigenden Abstraktion von Sachurteilen, Lebenszusammenhängen und subjektiven Begründungen ist Verhaltensrelevanz reduziert, Widersprüche können nicht als besondere Form eines Zusammenhangs begriffen werden, sondern nur als zu eliminierender Inkonsistenz-Störfaktor. Dem kann das Individuum nur entkommen, wenn es sich der Befragung verweigert. In kritisch-psychologischer Perspektive ist das Einstellungskonzept zwar nicht zu reinterpretieren, aber eine einstellungsförmige Welt- und Selbstbegegnung ist als behinderndes Moment bewusster Lebenspraxis Gegenstand subjektwissenschaftlicher Psychologie.
Abstract
It is to be shown, in which social constellation the concept of attitude emerged. As a subjective in its social relations, it was intended to mediate between subjectless sociology and a-social psychology. Under the primacy of measurability, the history of attitude psychology developed into the misunderstanding of a category (in the critical-psychological sense) as a variable. In the reconstruction of the various approaches to the operationalization of attitude, the focus is on the performances or unreasonable demands required of the respondents in each case. In the resulting abstraction of factual judgements, life contexts and subjective reasons, behavioral relevance is reduced; contradictions cannot be understood as a special form of contextual relationships, but only as an inconsistency disturbance factor to be eliminated. The individual can only escape this by refusing to be questioned. Although the attitude concept cannot be reinterpreted from a critical-psychological perspective, an attitude-shaped relation to the world and oneself is as an obstructive moment of conscious life practice the subject of subject-scientific psychology.
